Day 56 - (09/12) Portland, OR ... day 18

Everyone was up and feeling better today, though Elizabeth wasn't running on all cylinders.  Today was a big day ... Lucy's baptism.

Aunt Elizabeth performed the service.  Many of Kenny's family attended and Eric Witchey came from Salem.

A rare shot of the family

There were lots of folks from Kenny's family at the service.  Unfortunately, we weren't able to gather them for a family picture.
Eric, Amy and Barbara at the reception
Elizabeth left to preach the service at the Sunnyside Methodist church and the rest of us relaxed until time to leave for the picnic at Kenny and Barb's.

We got to the picnic at around 1pm and were greeted with a wonderful spread of ribs, brisket, chicken wings and thighs, corn on the cob, salads, vegetables and desserts.  Apparently all of Kenny's family is skilled in the kitchen.
A picnic for an army
Micah (nephew), Zack (nephew), Aunt Laverne,
Terry (cousin) , Kernan (dad)
Kernan III (nephew), Justin (nephew), Maureen (sister-in-law),
don't know, Symone (niece)
Kenny and Barb's back yard ... filled with picnickers
Sheryl (sister) and Kenny
Eric, Annabelle and Pat enjoy the meal
Aunt Darlene, Aunt Dona and Barbara

Anna and Annabelle enjoy sidewalk chalking at the picnic.

The picnic was lots of fun and we met many of Kenny's family.  It'll take some time to get all of their names straight.  We hope the Bagley family will forgive us for missing or misspelled names.

  1. Hi dears!
Since you've been here, I haven't been checking the blog. But I sure enjoyed it tonight as I was missing having you both in the driveway.

Tim's at his conference. You're gone. The rest leave in the morning. It's going to be lonely around here. . . . But the bedroom is cleaner than it's been in weeks, Dick! Thanks for the spider intervention.

Got your message from earlier. Sorry to have missed your call. But, try again when you have reception.

Lots of BIG love to you,
    E
